The On Fires - Precious Injury

I said in my last On Fires review that I would review this song and put it up on the 22^nd (yesterday) but I forgot, oh well, better later than never. I am reviewing this because it is the second least played song on the On Fires MySpace page, I know that odd, if you want a full explanation read the last review.

Precious Injury is a cool song that I like. It’s upbeat with an infectious groove, it’s also unmistakably modern but the synth lead lends the sound an edge of 80’s nostalgia, bringing to mind badly dressed men with perms and keyboard guitars on Top of the Pops, in a good way of course.

Jokes aside, the song packs a lot of energy, and the high pitched synth lead is used perfectly to channel that energy directly at the listener. Fun by nature but played with a lot of feeling is how I would sum up this song and I would have to conclude that it definitely deserves more plays on MySpace.
