Matthew Price - Bigger Fool
Freewheeling Folk Rock are the words that this singer songwriter uses to describe his music. I wouldn’t really consider myself a Folk Rock fan but I don’t care who you are or what you like, when you see a guy who can sing, play guitar and ride a bike at the same time you are going to stop, look and listen.
So when I saw pictures of Matthew Price riding along with his guitar I decided to listen to his music, and despite not being a big Folk Rock fan I really enjoyed it.
His songs tell stories so your attention is mostly drawn to the lyrics while the understated acoustic instrumentation drifts along in the background setting a warm and serene scene.
From the first note Bigger Fool makes you feel like you’re lounging in the sun on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The music is smooth and steady with a laid back rhythm and doesn’t distract from the words that are being sung. It allows you to close your eyes and drift along in peace while listening to the lyrics and the stories within them.
