Patch William are a band from London. They play a sort of indie alternative music which is not unpleasing to the ears, in fact, it is rather nice especially if taken on a Sunday morning when you have a hangover, or on a Monday morning when you are depressed about having to go back to work.
The track in question “Jealousy”, is a pretty upbeat tune and a good example of British indie music and also a good example of the stuff you want to be taking on that Sunday morning.
Patch William mark my first review of a band with a cellist. Maybe I’m wrong but I think that cellists are a rather rare commodity in the indie music of today, but when you hear music like this it makes me wonder why.
Although “Jealousy” doesn’t feature any cello (not any that I could hear anyway), it is very effective on other tracks such as the more mellow, melancholy track “The Last Bus”, another cracking tune.
I see no reason for Patch William not finding a fairly decent level of recognition for what they are doing, however I could say that for every band that I review.
